Wow, only 6 minutes but this is gut wrenching soulful.
And captures the spirit of Pig's tune TWO SOULS..
a slight drop out on the Soundboard
but otherwise just listen to the crowd loving
on the band after that tune.

Quality is totally listenable. What the hell do you expect from a 1972 audience recording at Roosevelt Stadium??Anyone who disses this recording of this very important show shouldn't call themselves a Deadhead. I mean, come on! One of the greatest Dark Stars of all time no question.

A bit hard to listen to, sound-quality-wise, as the boom of the stadium seems to be intoning an off-key note (or maybe it's the tape recorder), this is also a bit of a roughly-played show. Honestly, I can't even make it to the second set: the sound is waay too harsh.

That's a gorgeous transition from Truckin' to Dark Star. Crank up the low and high ends and this sounds great. Worth the download.

You can't be hating on a pretty decent show such as the 4/6/87 show which you titled "deadHeads suck". and hate someone who doesn't think much of a '72 show. And brent blows keith away, so don't ever go saying that Brent sucks, because hes actually quite incredible on the keys. And pretty much every year the dead played was exciting except for the last few. I find all the years great, i actually listen to more late shit then the early stuff, just doesnt do it for me, this website isnt for hating on the dead you fucking idiot, so quit wasting your time. For early dead show, pretty standard, always good stuff.

while the sound quality is not perfect this aud is listenable at the very least......not sure why the 2 ungrateful fuckheads gave this show one star.....it shold get about 4 id say but im giving it five to offset said fuckheads.....the darkstar->comes a time is the highlight and what i listen to the most out of this show......really spacey end moving perfectly into one of my fav. comes a time(behind 5/9/77 of course).Playin' is typically strong for this era....well jammed with billy providing the Tony Williams-like drumming that i love so much. jerry's vocals were so strong at this point. Hard to find Auds from this era that capture the vibe of the concert like this one does.

Never thought I would actually hear this again - at 15 I had only a dim idea of what I was really hearing, and only have a dim memory of the show (for various reasons).
Still and all, it's nice to be able to revisit an old experience like this!

This aud beats the sbd, great excitement in the room. The chinacat is as good as it gets, darkstar is explosive.

looks like all the sdb material is gone, and only the audiences remain.
this music was compiled and shared for the people by the people, and carried on the spirit and the spark. now its missing, im heartbroken.
furthermore the site had became a forum for sharing ideas and reivews about music and culture and history, I value the imput of the community and learned so much, now we are homeless and wasted.
music that has been swaped for over 30 years is no longer? that can hardly be a step forward.
